Hold Policy

In general, customers may have up to two (2) items on Hold at a time for up to two (2) weeks. If an item is not purchased by the customer after two (2) weeks, it will be returned to the store’s available stock. Utopia Toys and Models reserves the right to remove an item from Hold at any time for any reason but will notify the customer before doing so. For items priced at $100.00 or above, a 20% non-refundable down payment will be required before it is placed on Hold.

In the event a customer does not purchase an item they have on Hold after the two-week Hold period but they have paid a down payment, Utopia Toys and Models will allow a three (3) business day grace period in which the customer will be contacted and payment options will be discussed. Customers may choose to extend their Hold period another two (2) weeks but will be required to pay another 20% down payment. After the grace period, if the remaining balance has not been collected, the item will go back into the store’s stock. Recurring failure to purchase Hold items will result in the customer no longer being permitted to put items on Hold.

This policy applies to ALL CUSTOMERS, NO EXCEPTIONS.

While we understand the nature and time sensitivity of collecting in addition to life and financial situations, we highly encourage you to utilize our local pickup option at checkout online when possible before placing an item on Hold.
